Echodyne CTO to Present at the 2022 IEEE Radar Conference
Tom Driscoll to lead discussion on the future of commercializing phased array radars at IEEE’s RadarConf’22 in New York
New York, NY. -- March 22, 2022 -- Echodyne, the radar platform company, announced today that Echodyne CTO, Tom Driscoll, will speak at RadarConf’22, the IEEE Radar Conference in New York. Driscoll will host one of the plenary talks in a session titled, “Commercial Phased Array Radars: Opportunities, Challenges, and Progress,” which will be held on Tuesday, March 22nd at 8:00am EDT.
IEEE’s RadarConf is the premier radar technology event, bringing together leaders and researchers across the field. The event focuses on building and fostering relationships between industry, academic and research groups. Echodyne will also sponsor the event’s Radar Challenge research focused on novel radar designs and AI and machine learning.
Echodyne develops cutting edge beam-steering radars with applications across a variety of industries, including defense, critical infrastructure security, and autonomous machines. These electronically scanned array (ESA) radars are more powerful, lighter, and smaller than any other radars available today. Combined with customizable and intelligent software, Echodyne delivers unparalleled detection and tracking accuracy for elite and global organizations including the U.S. Army, Northrop Grumman, NASA, and the Department of Homeland Security.
“We’ve achieved something that many thought to be physically impossible – delivering the power of a traditional radar in the package of a smaller, lighter, and commercially priced piece of equipment that can go almost anywhere. Our fast-growing global customer base is proof that we’ve built something very capable,” says Tom Discoll, Echodyne CTO and Co-Founder, “I’m excited to share what we’ve learned from the market and what we see as significant promise for future radar applications.”
Attendees of RadarConf’22 can join the event in-person at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel and view sessions on demand following the conference. For additional details on Echodyne, please visit echodyne.com.
